Daddy's Little Monster

Happy Halloween!  No trick or treating or snickers for Vivian this year, but she did get to play dress up.  

Firsts

We had some great firsts recently: our first smile (caught on camera), our first trip to the most classic of San Francisco icons - the golden gate bridge (with grandma Rita who we were so sad to have leave.  Vivian misses her daily baths and stories and Whitney misses the great company), our first playdate (as you can see, Vivian was very enthusiastic about meeting Gus) and our first babysitter (thanks Todd and Jamie) so Julian and I could enjoy a dinner out. Shockingly, although I was really sad to leave her for two whole hours, I'm not sure she even noticed we were gone.    

Big Starks Meet Little Stark

Grandma Rita and Grandpa Shel have arrived!  They have been showering Vivian with love since the moment they arrived.  They have also been awesome helpers - cooking dinners and doing the dreaded chores of dishes and diaper changing.  Rita has done such a good job of holding her that I'm nervous for when she leaves and Vivian still expects to be held all day long.  We've gone for tons of great walks, training Vivian very early for hanging out with her grandparents, and she has been to her second museum in only six weeks - quite the cultured six week old.     

Cousin Meet and Greet

Brooke and Hayes Sami visited us in San Francisco this weekend and we had the best time introducing the cousins.  Hayes was as cute as can be - giving us kisses, teaching Vivian his amazing kicking skills, and showing off his smile and sparkly eyes.  He was pretty interested in Vivian, though she was more sleepy than curious about him.  We were also amused by how different the two of them already, both in temperment and appearance.

Quilt-o-rama

We are the lucky recipients of several awesome quilts from Vivian's Grandma Rita and Aunt Phyllis.  We think the quilts are beautiful and Vivian also clearly adores them already.
